Eric Turgeon announced a couple of days ago that the second Beta release of the upcoming GhostBSD 3.5 operating system was available for download and testing.
Being based on FreeBSD 9.2 RC2, GhostBSD 3.5 Beta 2 comes with improved 64-bit drivers packages, as well as with fixed packages for both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.
This release is distributed only with the Xfce and LXDE desktop environments. The MATE and Openbox desktops are not yet ready, but the developer promises that they will be available in the next Beta release.
A known issue remains in this second Beta release of GhostBSD 3.5, as Caja is in both LXDE and Xfce editions. For more details, please check the official release notes.
Download GhostBSD 3.5 Xfce Beta 2 and GhostBSD 3.5 LXDE Beta 2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that these are beta versions and they should NOT be installed on production machines. They are intended for testing purposes only.
