On December 12, the Yorba Foundation has unofficially announced that a new development version of its Geary email client for the GNOME desktop environment is now available for download.

Even if it’s a small release, the great news is that Geary 0.5.0 has now been ported to GtkApplication, and users are enable to use the App Menu instead of the gear button menu, where available.

Moreover, miscellaneous bugs were fixed in Geary 0.5.0. As Yorba did not mentioned anything about this release of on its official blog, you can find more details in the official raw changelog.

Download Geary 0.5.0 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
