The second maintenance release of the GTK+ 3.16 GUI toolkit has been announced recently, and while the changelog is quite small when compared to the previous point release, this version introduces more Wayland and HighContrast improvements.

According to the raw changelog, GTK+ 3.16.2 removes the unnecessary border from insensitive backdrop ListBoxRow, addresses the white on white issue of the selected ListBoxRow’s Label in the HighContrast theme, and deprecates signal handlers in dispose for popover.

Moreover, the second point release of GTK+ 3.16 addresses a serious accessible event spewage from the GTK+ table cells, it makes the scrollbar hiding and unhiding to work with styluses, and fixes a Wayland issue related to the gdk_screen_get_monitor_geometry() function, which returned invalid geometry.

GTK+ 3.16.2 also addresses several crashes in the GtkApplication and a possible crash with GtkTreeview rubberbanding. As such, more errors that could occur during shutdown have been prevented, and several tab close button size changes have been implemented.

Last but not least, the Icelandic and Swedish language translations have been updated in the second point release of GTK+ 3.16. As usual, you can download GTK+ 3.16.2 right now from Softpedia. This new GTK+ version is distributed as part of the upcoming GNOME 3.16.1 desktop environment, due for release today, April 15, 2015.
