GTK+, a multi-platform toolkit for creating graphical user interfaces that provide a complete set of widgets, suitable for projects ranging from small one-off tools to complete application suites, has been promoted to version 3.13.6.

The current GTK+ release is quite impressive and brings even more improvements than the previous versions in the development branch did.

According to the changelog, some Adwaita improvements have been implemented, a much faster blur implementation for shadows is available, symbolic and recolorable pngs have been implemented, the editing of bookmarks has been fixed, symbolic icons in the path bar are now used, a vfunc has been added to allow subclasses to draw above/below text, and a scale factor is now available when loading from resources.

Also, some widget states and buildable ids are now displayed, GtkTreeSelection has been added to object tree, newer Wayland protocol versions are now supported, support for font scaling has been implemented, and a number of crash fixes have been added.

A complete changelog featuring all the updates and fixes can be found in the official announcement. You can download the GTK+ 3.13.6 sources right now from Softpedia.

Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
