GStreamer 1.2.3, a development framework for creating applications such as media players, video editors, and much more, has been released.
The GStreamer project has announced that a new API and ABI-stable 1.x series is now available for download, featuring a large number of changes and fixes.
Highlights of GStreamer 1.2.3:
• A few missing files have been added for distribution; • A number of leaks that occurred when iterating sticky events have been fixed; • The DVD menus are now working properly; • Support has been added for the WMV3 format; • The allocation query is no longer sent twice; • The xvid and divx variants for mpeg4 video have been added.
