The GNOME Project has announced recently that their upcoming GUADEC 2015 developer conference will take place between August 7 and 9 in Gothenburg, Sweden, and that all those who want to submit talk proposals can do so right now.

At GUADEC, which is also known as the GNOME Conference, developers will have constructive discussions and workshops related to the ongoing development cycle of the next major version of the GNOME desktop environment.

Suggestions for discussions include design of the core user and developer experience, integration of various functions of an operating system into the core GNOME desktop environment experience, as well as GNOME apps development and deployment.

In addition, users can also discuss about the integration of the latest Web technologies into the GNOME user experience, about the governance and organization of the GNOME Project, and about outreaching to new contributors.

Of course, these are just some ideas for discussions, but you can also submit other talk proposals that are related somehow to the GNOME community. However, please note that the deadline for submissions is May 3, and you will be notified about approval on May 17.

Google will be the gold sponsor of the GUADEC 2015 event, with ownCloud as a supporting sponsor. More details about the main conference for GNOME foundation leaders, developers, users, and individuals can be found on the event’s website.
