The latest version of GNOME Shell can be downloaded from Softpedia

GNOME Shell, a user interface that provides functions for the GNOME desktop environment, has just received a new update and it's now at version 3.8.4.

Even if the development for the 3.10.x branch has already started, the 3.8.x version is still getting updates.

Highlights of GNOME Shell 3.8.4:

• The time stamp in chat messages has been improved; • The autorun notifications have been fixed; • The background is no longer turning solid blue on monitor changes; • The orientation of the gradient has been corrected in the app menu, in RTL locales; • A workaround has been implemented for a crash that was causing bugs in the code; • Various bug fixes have been implemented.
