The GNOME Project, through Owen Taylor, announced last evening, March 20th, the immediate availability for download and testing of the Release Candidate version of the upcoming GNOME Shell 3.4.

GNOME Shell 3.4 RC is a development release and it comes with over 40 changes, as well as lots of updated translations.

Among the fixes and improvements we can mention better key-navigation in the overview mode, screencasts are now saved in the users "Videos" folder, modal dialogs appearance was improved, ECalClient support, as well as some Accessibility improvements.

GNOME Shell 3.4 RC (3.3.92 is the actual version number) is part of the new GNOME 3.4 RC desktop upgrade, which should be released later today.

Download GNOME Shell 3.4 RC right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
