GNOME Shell, a user interface that provides functions for the GNOME desktop environment, has just received a new update and it's now at version 3.11.3.
The GNOME development is running smoothly and more features are added with each new build. A new development cycle has started and it will culminate in the release of a new stable version, 3.12.
Highlights of GNOME Shell 3.11.3:
• The fade effect of desktop icons has been fixed; • Various issues with the background management code have been fixed; • The new Glib facilities are now used for application search; • A focus indication to session menu button has been added; • Specifying the monitor for OSD is now allowed.
