The GNOME development team released yet another testing version of the upcoming GNOME Maps 3.12 application for the GNOME 3.12 desktop environment, bringing some new features, improvements, bugfixes, and updated translations.

GNOME Maps 3.11.5 introduces much smoother goto animations, avoids an unnecessary zoom-out at end of goto animations, “exact” is displayed instead of “0 km2” if accuracy area is less than 1, makes the gnome-maps executable a real binary, fixes a compiler warning, and updates recent added time on re-visits.

Also, the Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese Simplified, Traditional Chinese (Taiwan and Hong Kong), Czech, Galician, Hebrew, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Slovenian, Spanish, Tajik, and Telugu translations have been updated in this release. More details can be found in the official raw changelog.

Download GNOME Maps 3.11.5 right now from Softpedia, but keep in mind that it’s a development and it should not be installed on production machines, as it is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
