GNOME Logs Is the First Systemd Log Viewer for GNOME

This first development release of GNOME Logs 3.12 introduces several features

David King has announced a couple of days ago the first development release towards GNOME Logs 3.12, a log viewer for the systemd journal, which will be used on the upcoming GNOME 3.12 desktop environment.

GNOME Logs 3.11.1 supports case-insensitive search, displays timestamps against messages in the event view, uses a monospace font for the log messages, and uses a single header bar.

Moreover, Colin Walters has fixed the .desktop file, the default category has been switched to "important," messages can now be read from the journal, the message catalog entry is now displayed for a message in the details view, and Matthias Clasen fixed category switching issues.

Last but not least, the various translations have been updated, including Spanish, Indonesian, Brazilian Portuguese, Slovenian, Czech, Polish, and Serbian. More details can be found in the official release announcement.

Download GNOME Logs 3.11.1 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
