The Release Candidate version of GNOME Color Manager 3.8 tool for the GNOME desktop environment made its appearance last evening, March 18, on the GNOME FTP servers.

GNOME Color Manager 3.8 RC has been released to add various translations for the GAMUT metadata tags, inhibits the user switching and screensaver when calibrating.

This Release Candidate of GNOME Color Manager 3.8 also fixes an issue with gtk_image_set_from_file(), ignores the OPENICC_automatic_generated metadata key, sets the modal and transient values before showing the window, shows the entire filename with path in gcm-viewer and switches the profile viewer to be a dialog window.

Last but not least, the following translations have been added in this development release of GNOME Color Manager: Czech and Turkish. Also, the following translations have been updated: Assamese, Brazilian Portuguese, Catalan, Catalan (Valencian), Czech, Danish, Estonian, Galician, German, Greek, Gujarati, Italian, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malayalam, Norwegian Bokmal, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Serbian, Slovenian, Spanish, Uyghur and Simplified Chinese.
