14 DAY TRIAL // The GNOME Project announced a few days ago the immediate availability for download and testing of the fourth development release towards the GNOME Chess 3.10 game for the upcoming GNOME 3.10 desktop environment.
GNOME Chess 3.9.4 adds a highly anticipated Application Menu, adds a 256x256 icon, removes the menubar, and adds several items to the toolbar, which is now mandatory.
Moreover, GNOME Chess 3.9.4 fixes several annoying bugs, such as a crash when using Undo while viewing a previous move, a crash that occurred after completing a timed game, where the timer did not expire, as well as the insanely small load game dialog.
This release also adds the ability to save and load players' time, which remained in timed games. The autosave function is a lot smarter now, the promotion type selection dialog received various improvements, and a more natural message is used when prompting to save a completed game.
