The GNOME Project has announced recently that the second development release towards GNOME Chess 3.12 is available for download and testing, bringing assorted fixes and improvements.

Therefore, we can report that GNOME Chess 3.11.2 fixes the black background in 3D view, which was introduced in version 3.11.1, and fixes an issue with the paused overlay, which was displayed upside-down with Black on the bottom.

Moreover, GNOME Chess 3.11.2 repairs the small left arrow in the history controls, fixes a harmless assertion failure, adds missing GTK category to the desktop file, and updates various translations. More details can be found in the official raw changelog.

Download GNOME Chess 3.11.2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
