GNOME 3.9.3 has been officially launched and it features a lot of fixes, documentation and translation updates, not to mention a huge number of new features.

As expected, not all the packages in the GNOME universe have been updated. This category includes quite a few of the core apps, such as clutter, gstreamer, libnotifytracker, vala, and a lot more.

“GNOME 3.9 development is now going smoothly, we have a set of features defined and people actively working to implement them, while the existing code and experience are being polished,” reads the official announcement.

More details about this release can be found in the announcement. The next version of GNOME is expected to arrive in the second week of July.

Download GNOME 3.9.3 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
