GNOME 3.6 will be released on September 26th, 2012

The GNOME Project unleashed a few minutes ago, July 5th, the immediate availability for download and testing of the third development release of the upcoming GNOME 3.6 desktop environment.

GNOME 3.5.3 is a development release that updates the following packages: Baobab, Nautilus, GNOME Shell, GNOME Terminal, Vala, Mutter, GNOME Contacts, GNOME Online Accounts, Empathy,Eye of GNOME, Epiphany, GNOME PackageKit, GNOME Panel, and much more.

GNOME 3.5.3 is part of the new GNOME 3.6 desktop upgrade, which should be released in late September 2012. The next development release towards GNOME 3.6 will be GNOME 3.5.4 available this month, on July 18th, 2012.

Download GNOME 3.5.3 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
