Testers are not urged to test this release until 2012

The GNOME Project announced a few minutes ago, December 23rd, the immediate availability for download and testing of the third development release of the upcoming GNOME 3.4 desktop environment, which brings assorted improvements and bug fixes.

GNOME 3.3.2 brings updates to main components, such as GNOME Contacts, GNOME Desktop, GNOME Keyring, GNOME Control Center, GNOME Bluetooth, GNOME Power Manager, GNOME Online Accounts, GNOME Session, GNOME Settings Daemon, GNOME System Monitor, GNOME Themes, and GNOME Backgrounds.

Empathy, Epiphany, Evince, Gnucharmap, Nautilus, GTK+ Eye of GNOME, as well as lots of libraries were also updates in this development release.

The next development release towards GNOME 3.4, will be GNOME 3.3.4 available on January 18th, 2012. The final release of GNOME 3.4 will be available on March 28th, 2012, followed by the first point release on April 18th, GNOME 3.4.1.

Download the GNOME 3.3.3 source packages right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
