GNOME 3.12 has been released, but it's not yet available on any distribution, which means that it would be impossible to test. Fortunately, the GNOME developers thought of that and they provided a Live GNOME 3.12 CD with all the new packages.

GNOME 3.12 LIVE CD is a Linux distribution in its own right, with one single caveat. You can't install it. The GNOME developers put some thought into it and figured out that a lot of users would want to get the new GNOME 3.12 firsthand. This is easier said than done, but this is where the Live CD comes into play.

The GNOME 3.12 LIVE CD is based on Fedora 20 (as you have probably already figured out) and features all the new packages that have received an update with the GNOME 3.12 release. All the interesting features that we talked about in the official announcement are there, although there are some problems.

This distribution is for show, which means that not everything works. GNOME Software doesn’t work properly and we have already experienced a number of crashes.

Even so, it's still worth a try. You can download the latest version of the official GNOME 3.12 LIVE CD right now from Softpedia.
