The GNOME 3.10 desktop environment will be released on September 23, 2013

While many of you, GNOME fans, are still enjoying the newly released GNOME 3.8 desktop environment, the GNOME developers are working hard on the next major version, GNOME 3.10, due for release this Autumn.

GNOME 3.10 will include many new features, such as automatically updated extensions, focus-caret tracking and color tinting functions for GNOME-Shell, new Maps and Videos apps, as well as Git integration and porting to the Wayland display server.

May 1, 2013 - GNOME 3.9.1 May 29, 2013 - GNOME 3.9.2 June 19, 2013 - GNOME 3.9.3 July 10, 2013 - GNOME 3.9.4 July 29, 2013 - GNOME 3.9.5 August 21, 2013 - GNOME 3.10 Beta September 4, 2013 - GNOME 3.10 Beta 2 September 18, 2013 - GNOME 3.10 Release Candidate September 23, 2013 - GNOME 3.10

This is the official GNOME 3.10 release schedule. The final release will be closely followed by the first point release, GNOME 3.10.1, on October 16, 2013.
