Immediately after the release of GLib 2.39.1 unstable version, the GNOME development team unveiled the second maintenance release of the stable GLib 2.38 library software, just in time for the GNOME 3.10.2 desktop environment.

GLib 2.38.2 adds a workaround for buggy D-Bus daemons, adds a fallback for '-symbolic' icons to the non-symbolic form, fixes a crash that occurred when replacing a symlink with another, while using GIO, and fixes another crash that occurred when loading a DBusActivatable application from a keyfile.

Moreover, GCancellableSource will now dispatch for each time a function is reset, g_file_copy() now works on gvfs filesystems that don't implement query_info_on_read(), and g_source_add_child_source() thread safety issues were repaired.
