The development team behind the GLib libray software for the GNOME desktop environment, announced the availability for testing of the development version 2.37.7.

What's new in GLib 2.37.7? Well, GDateTime has been modified to support %:z formatting variations for timezones. Keep in mind, though, that this is a GNU date extension.

Among the fixed bugs, we can mention a segfault with GObject.signal_handler_disconnect() and GObject.signal_handler_is_connected(), g_socket_get_available_bytes() issues on Windows and Mac OS X, GSocket GSource issues on Windows, defective G_DEFINE_ABSTRACT_TYPE_WITH_PRIVATE documentation, Gir annotations on g_loadable_icon_load_finish, a no-op assertion on gtype, and atomic opts detection on configure.ac.

Also, an issue with the "File Utilities" page for GLib documentation has been fixed, and the following translations have been updated: Catalan, Hungarian, Japanese, Polish, Slovak, and Tamil. More details can be found in the official raw changelog.

Download GLib 2.37.7 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
