FxMovieManager, an application written to help users manage movie files and video clips, has been upgraded to version 6.6 and is now available for download.

FxMovieManager includes a twin-panel file manager, a playlist, and a simple frontend to Mplayer. Both the file manager and the playlist can display thumbnails of movie files.

Unlike previous releases of this application, which were preceded by quite a few development versions, this latest iteration arrived with little warning and numerous features.

According to the changelog, the system audio volume can now be set and then changed during playback for the internal SDL player by using a mixer, the code has been adapted to use last versions of FOX-1.7, a menubar to enable almost full keyboard control has been implemented, and a new theme (Water) has been added.

Also, a number of shortcut keys have been changed or added, the selected videoclips can now be played consecutively and without any interruption after giving confirmation, the help dialog and the manual page (fxmoviemanager.1) have been updated, the customized directories icons have been restored, and a compilation issue due to the progressBar update has been fixed.

More details about this released can be found on the official website. You can download FxMovieManager 6.6 right now from Softpedia.
