Freeciv, a free turn-based multiplayer strategy game, in which each player becomes the leader of a civilization, is now at version 2.3.4.

Freeciv 2.3.4 is inspired by Civilization I and II from MicroProse and gamers should find this title quite familiar, since one aim is to have optional modes (called rulesets) with compatible rules.

Highlights of Freeciv 2.3.4:

• When a unit was automatically moved to a transporter to save it from drowning or running out of fuel, the transporter could continue to appear empty; • Prevent cases where units could be converted or upgraded to a type only capable of carrying different cargo to the current cargo; • Units of types the owner cannot build are no longer prevented from upgrade; • When a new nation is created in the editor, city style and leader gender are now set appropriately.
