FreeNAS, a free implementation of a minimal FreeBSD distribution, has finally reached version 9.2.1.

After a few development versions, FreeNAS 9.2.1 has arrived. If you followed the releases so for, you won't be surprised by the changes and features. This release practically brings together everything that has been updated so far.

Highlights of FreeNAS 9.2.1:

• Samba (SMB/CIFS support) has been upgraded to version 4.1.3; • The distribution has switched from Avahi to mDNSResponder for Zeroconf network configuration; • django (used by the WebUI) has been updated to 1.6 and dojo has been updated to 1.9.2; • trafshow has been added to the image; • The ability to use a keytab for AD joins has been added.
