Mozilla has officially announced that the second Alpha release in the Firefox 22.x branch is now available for download.

The new Firefox 22.0 Alpha 2 for Linux comes shortly after the new Beta and Stable version arrived. As usual, the number of changes is impressive.

Highlights of Mozilla Firefox 22.0 Alpha 2:

• Users can allow cookies from sites you've visited; • The HTML5 audio/video playback rate can now be changed; • The WebGL rendering performance has been improved; • The memory usage and display time, when rendering many images, has been improved; • Plain text files displayed within Firefox will now word-wrap.

A detailed list of changes can be found in the announcement.

Download Firefox 22.0 Alpha 2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a beta version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
