The new Firefox 18.0.2 for Linux comes with some pretty interesting features and new updates, especially related to performance and stability.

Highlights of Firefox 18.0.2:


• JavaScript related stability issues have been repaired;
• Problems involving HTTP Proxy Transactions have been fixed;
• Disabled HIDPI support when using external monitors to avoid rendering glitches;
• Faster JavaScript performance via IonMonkey compiler;
• Preliminary support for WebRTC has been implemented;
• Better image quality has been achieved with new HTML scaling algorithm;
• Performance improvements around tab switching have been implemented;
• Support for new DOM property window.devicePixelRatio has been added;
• Support for W3C touch events implemented, taking the place of MozTouch events, has been added.
