The GNOME developers behind the Nautilus project (now known as Files) have announced that version 3.8.2 is now available for download.

Nautilus may have changed its name to Files, but it will take a long time for users to get used to it. The first maintenance release of the 3.8.x branch has arrived, and it packs mostly fixes.

Highlights of Files (Nautilus) 3.8.2:

• Files is no longer trying to get the focus and to search an entry needlessly; • The default size has been increased to fit 4 columns of icons; • A few keys, that were missing from GConf conversion, have been removed; • 'x-nautilus-search:' has been changed to 'Search' in tooltips.

A complete list of changes can be found in the official changelog.
