On Tuesday, June 2, Fedora Project, through Peter Robinson, had the great pleasure of announcing the immediate availability for download of the Fedora 22 Linux operating system for the PowerPC and IBM System z (s390) 64-bit hardware architectures.

It is important to mention that we're talking only about the Server and Cloud editions of Fedora 22, which was officially announced on May 26, 2015, but only for 32- and 64-bit hardware architectures. So, we bring you the news that you can now download the distribution for the PPC (PowerPC) and s390 (IBM System z 64-bit) platforms.

On this occasion, we also want to inform you that the Fedora 22 operating system is powered by some of the greatest and latest Linux technologies, among which Linux kernel 4.0, GNOME 3.16, KDE Plasma 5, Xfce 4.12, LXQt 0.9.0, MATE 1.10.0, and many other powerful server-oriented software.

"In addition to the latest versions of all your favorite free and open source software, Fedora 22 marks our second release with distinctly-targeted offerings for cloud computing, and the server room," says Peter Robinson. "Also with this release, we return to our traditional six-month cadence -- we'll see you back here sometime around Halloween!" he adds.
