The Fedora project will release the upcoming Fedora 21 version next week and it looks like all the issues have been fixed. Users will finally be able to try the new Workstation, Server, and Cloud flavors.

Finally, after months of waiting for the dev team to fix all the issues and to make this release happen, it looks like we're close to finally try the new version, which already received high praise despite the fact that it's still under development.

"At the Fedora 21 Final Go/No-Go Meeting a few minutes ago, Fedora QA, Release Engineering, and Development agreed to Go with the Fedora 21 Final. Fedora 21 will be publicly available on Tuesday, December 09, 2014. Get your computers prepared, along with celebratory $BEVERAGE of choice. As Jaroslav says in his message, this is a huge achievement and a very exciting Fedora release. Thank you and congratulations to everyone who made this happen!" said Matthew Miller, the leader of the Fedora project.

There are three distinct flavors, Workstation, Server, and Cloud, and each is aimed at a very specific niche of users. If you are just a regular user and you only want to see the desktop, then you'll want to get the Workstation edition.

In the meantime, if you want to test it right now, you can download the latest Fedora 21 RC release and see if you like it. The distro has a Live CD ready, so it should be pretty easy to test.
