The FFmpeg package, a complete solution to record, convert, and stream audio and video, is now at version 2.1.1.

FFmpeg has been releasing big updates, featuring a large number of changes and fixes, but this is mostly a maintenance version.

The developers also announced a short while ago that the 2.x branch now has native HEVC/H.265 decoder support.

According to the changelog, HNM version 4 demuxer and video decoder have been implemented, a Live HDS muxer has been added, the setsar/setdar filters now support variables in ratio expressions, and the elbg filter has been added.

FFMpeg is the leading multimedia framework able to decode, encode, transcode, mux, demux, stream, filter, and play pretty much anything that humans and machines have created.

A complete list of updates and features can be found in the official announcement. You can download FFmpeg 2.1.1 right now from Softpedia.
