Evince 3.9.2 was officially announced a few days ago, bringing various new features and fixing annoying bugs found in the previous development release.

When printing to a file, Evince 3.9.2 now uses the document filename as output basename, it enables GDK_SMOOTH_SCROLL events for EvView, and displays the document URI in the error message, every time it fails to open.

Evince 3.9.2 also adds the Shift+Enter hotkey to search backwards, adds shortcuts for the "find previous work" and "find next work" functions even if the find bar is closed, as well as support for file identifiers and page labels to the DJVU backend.

Ellipsis character is now used in translatable strings, and users are now able to browse all files from the Save Image dialog, simply by adding more filters to the file chooser.

Among the bugs fixed in Evince 3.9.2, we can mention that the annotation windows has been repaired to always accept input focus, the capitalization issue in a menu item has been fixed, and a typo in the PostScript printer error message has been fixed. More details can be found in the official raw changelog.

Download Evince 3.9.2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
