Evince, a document viewer for multiple document formats, which aims to replace the multiple document viewers that exist on the GNOME Desktop with a single simple application, is now at version 3.7.1.

Evince is specifically designed to support a lot of file formats, including PDF, Postscript, djvu, tiff, dvi, XPS SyncTex, and even comic books.

Highlights of Evince 3.7.1:

• Application menu has been added; • Set maximum width for page numbers in index to improve the visibility of the table of contents; • GtkOverlay is now used to show the loading message; • Custom cell renderers for the thumbnails icon view are now used, to fix the huge selection rectangle around thumbnails; • Hold the application while printing is in progress; • 2DGraphics category to the desktop file has been added.

Check out the complete changelog to see a detailed description of the modifications. Download Evince 3.7.1 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
