Empathy, a messaging program that supports text, voice, video chat, and file transfers over many different protocols, is now at version 3.6.3.

Empathy 3.6.3 is just a maintenance release and fixes a bunch of annoying bugs and one crasher. Users of all distributions which include Gnome 3.6 have been advised to upgrade.

Highlights of Empathy 3.6.3:

• Backslash escapes applied in the chat log have been fixed; • Empathy contact list window no longer resizes automatically when connections are lost; • Rakia / SIP “Use this account to call landlines and mobile phones” checkbox now works properly; empathy_contact_dup_from_tp_contact: assertion “TP_IS_CONTACT (tp_contact)” no longer fails; • Code generation during build has a race due to unintended concurrency. This issue has been fixed.
