The second alpha version of Edubuntu 14.04 (Trusty Tahr) has been released along with all the other flavors, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, and Ubuntu GNOME.

This latest release of Edubuntu has very few features over the 14.04 Alpha 1 version, but this distro follows very closely the default Ubuntu development.

According to the changelog, only one problem has been noticed. The new glib (2.39.1) causes some indicators and Nautilus to not load promptly, but it should be fixed soon enough.

Also, Edubuntu 14.04 LTS has a directory server that supports single sign-on. Check the official announcement for more details about this version.

Download Edubuntu 14.04 Alpha 2 (Trusty Tahr) right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
