Dying Light is an FPS developed and published by Techland on Steam for Linux. The makers of the game have just released a new patch that comes with some important performance improvements.

Dying Light is a very complex game and it has an engine that will definitely push your computer to its limits. The fact that it was made available on the Linux platform so soon means that the developers have been working for some time on it. Dying Light didn't have the same graphical options as its Windows counterpart, but things are getting back to normal after all of these patches.

According to the changelog, AMD Radeon support has been implemented (although it's still not complete), the performance has been improved significantly, a glitch that occurred when changing resolution has been fixed, the mouse scroll speed in map menu has been refined, the SSAO and AA options have been disabled for now, and a few other minor issues have been corrected. All of these are just for the Linux platform.

"During the day, you roam an urban environment devastated by a mysterious epidemic, scavenging for supplies and crafting weapons to help you defeat the hordes of mindless, flesh-hungry enemies the plague has created. At night, the hunter becomes the prey as the infected grow in strength and aggression," reads the Steam synopsis.
