The Linux release for this stable branch remains unaffected

Dropbox 2.6.30 is now the latest version of the online service that lets you bring all your photos, docs, and videos anywhere. It's nothing spectacular about it, but users should upgrade nonetheless.

The Dropbox developers are releasing way more development versions than stable ones and they don't really make numerous changes in one single release. Most of the new features usually arrive with a new branch, but this is an update for the old 2.6.x version.

The current version of Dropbox features only one fix for the Windows platform. According to the changelog, an issue that occurred when linking a second account for a small number of users on Windows has been fixed.

The developers also explained that some users might experience a small problem with this build. It's very likely that a new stable version will be released soon to also fix this problem.

“There is a known issue with this build where installation will fail for Mac standard (non-administrator) users. If you want to test the Setup Wizard, unlink your Dropbox from preferences. If you have a really large Dropbox the relink can take a really long time,” reads the changelog.
