The game has some pretty high requirements

DreadOut, a third person supernatural horror game developed and published by Digital Happiness on Steam, also received a Linux version.

DreadOut went through the Steam Greenlight program and, interestingly enough, it's one of the few games of its kind on the Linux platform. We don't have enough horror games, especially titles that can be played from a third person view.

"DreadOut is a third person supernatural horror game where you play as Linda, a high school student trapped in an old abandoned town. Equipped with her trusty smart-phone and an SLR camera, she will battle against terrifying encounters and solve mysterious puzzles which will ultimately determine her fate. Help her overcome the challenges that will stand before her. Survive the Dread!" reads the Steam synopsis.

The system requirements for DreadOut are pretty high. Users will need at least Ubuntu 14.10 (other operating systems will work as well), an Intel Core i5-2300 or AMD Phenom II X4 940 or better, 8 GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 or AMD Radeon HD 7750 with 1 GB VRAM or better (OpenGL 3.0), and 10 GB of available space.

DreadOut also has a single DLC, but it only brings the soundtrack for the game and a Manga book.
