Dragon, a role-playing game that let's you play as a mythical and powerful creature, has been released on Steam for Linux by Red Level Games Inc.

There aren't too many games out there that let's you play as a dragon, and it's definitely a first for the Linux platform. It's still in the Early Access Game program, which means that Dragon hasn't been completed, but users can purchase it and play it (with some limitations).

"Experience dragons in their proper role as the monstrous, complex, and epic protagonists that they are. In this open world action role-playing game you will bring your dragon's story to life. As you eat, age and hunt your dragon will develop allowing you to improve and customize its wings, tail, claws, and breath weapon," say the makers of this game on Steam.

The system requirements for the game are quite steep, but manageable. Users will need to have at least an Intel Pentium D 2.8 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ processor, an NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M or and ATI Radeon HD 4670 video card, 4 GB of RAM, and 4 GB of HDD space.

The game was just released and can be purchased with a discount for the next two days. The promotion is set to expire on November 14.
