Yes, you read that right! Believe it or not, the openSUSE 12.1 operating system is now available for all KDE 3 fans out there, downloadable as a Live CD for 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.

If you're wondering 'why' and 'how', you should know that this is possible because the KDE 3 desktop environment is available on the default software repositories of OpenSuSE 12.1, thanks to the wonderful openSUSE community.

Marcus Moeller created the openSUSE 12.1 KDE3 Live CD and included applications such as Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, YaST2, LibreOffice, and kde3-gtk-qt-engine for GTK+ apps.

Oh, and to make your desktop experience feel like 'good ol' times' you should know that the artwork included in openSUSE 12.1 Live CD is based on the old SUSE 10.1 Linux distribution!

Download openSUSE 12.1 KDE3 Live CD 0.1.1 right now from Softpedia.
