Linus Torvalds announced yesterday afternoon, May 6th, that the sixth Release Candidate of the upcoming Linux 3.4 kernel is available for download and testing.

Linux kernel 3.4 RC6 contains many updated drivers, ARM and PowerPC improvements, as well as networking changes.

"Another week, another -rc - and I think we're getting close to final 3.4. So please do test. There still are more commits here than I'd like, so it would be nice if things would calm down even further, but things on the whole have been pretty small and simple."

"But all of the commits look pretty damn trivial, so on the whole I feel good about things." - said Linus Torvalds in the email announcement.

Download Linux Kernel 3.4 RC6 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
