Semplice Linux, a GNU/Linux distribution based on Debian's Sid unstable branch with the goal to provide a simple, lightweight, fast and cool environment, is now at version 3.0.

The current release of Semplice, 3.0, is based on Linux kernel 3.2.35 and is pretty stable as a Live CD. Keep in mind though that it's based on the unstable branch of Debian and it will probably never be considered truly stable.

Highlights of Semplice Linux 3.0:

• Openbox window manager has been updated to version 3.5.0; • Linux Kernel has been updated to version 3.2.35; • Chromium web browser has been updated to version 22.0.1229.94; • GNOME Mplayer has been updated to version 1.0.6; • lxshortcut has been added and Pcmanfm can now create shortcuts.
