The Debian project announced the immediate availability for download of the fourth maintenance release of the Debian 7 Linux operating system.

Debian 7.4 is just a maintenance update, just like all the previous releases in this branch. If you update your Debian system regularly, you won't need to do anything extra. The developers provide new ISO images for the new build.

“The Debian project is pleased to announce the fourth update of its stable distribution Debian 7 (codename ‘wheezy’). This update mainly adds corrections for security problems to the stable release, along with a few adjustments for serious problems. Security advisories were already published separately and are referenced where available,” reads the official announcement.

According to the changelog, the ctdb service no longer stops and restarts when trying to remove a public IP address not assigned locally, the compatibility with the PolarSSL security update has been restored, and the Linux kernel has been updated to version 3.2.54.

Check out the complete changelog in the official announcement. You can also download Debian 7.4 from Softpedia and update afterwards.
