14 DAY TRIAL // Developers from the Debian Team have announced that support for Debian GNU/Linux 5.0 has been terminated on February 6.
If users haven't yet switched the Debian 6.0 “Squeeze”, this is a good time to do so. Debian GNU/Linux 5.0 “Lenny “ was launched three years ago and two years after that came the new version.
The developers have given users and distributors one year to upgrade their systems and they have urged everyone to switch to Debian GNU/Linux 5.0 “Lenny.” Certainly, no one is forcing anyone, but there won't be any more security updates so the upgrade is more than advisable.
Previously announced security updates for the old release will continue to be available on security.debian.org.
