Only the case was used, but the end result is impressive

Converting a dead Xbox 360 to a Linux server is not as difficult as it seems, especially if you only use the case of the console. It's still a nice try, and it will make a nice addition to the living room.

A Reddit user has posted images with an Xbox 360 that has been repurposed as a Linux server. Don't get all that excited, he just used the case and removed the dead components of the old console. Even so, the results of his work are impressive, and it should inspire other people to do the same.

A Linux server can be a very useful tool in a household, especially if you are gamers. You can use it as host for titles like Team Fortress 2, for example, or Counter Strike. It's also possible to just make it act as a sharing space between other computers in the house, or you can set it up as a media server. The number of uses for a Linux server is unlimited. The fact that it also sits in a nice Xbox 360 case is a plus.

Making this transformation is not an easy process, and it's clear that the guy who made this happen had some experience with it, but he did post images from every step of the build.

Enjoy!
