DRBL (Diskless Remote Boot in Linux), a free software, open source solution to managing the deployment of the GNU/Linux operating system across many clients, is now at version 1.0.9-2

Highlights of DRBL 1.0.9-2:

· Based on Debian Sid repository, as of 2nd July 2012; · Linux kernel has been updated to version 3.2.21-1; · Clonezilla has been updated to version 2.6.6-1; · The boot parameters "ocs_lang" and "ocs_live_keymap" have been deprecated; · Users have been instructed to use "locales" and "keyboard-layouts" from live-config 2.x.

DRBL provides a diskless or systemless environment for client machines. It works on Debian, Ubuntu, Mandriva, Red Hat, Fedora, CentOS and SuSE.

DRBL uses distributed hardware resources and makes it possible for clients to fully access local hardware.

Download DRBL 1.0.9-2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
