Cutegram 2 is once again back as one of the best Telegram clients for Linux ever. Version 2.2.0 is here to attest just that, as announced today by its developer on the project's website.

According to the changelog, Cutegram 2.2 introduces link preview functionality, adds an audio recorder and player, adds a new messages separator, supports mentions and hasgtags and improves scroll bars.

In addition, Cutegram 2.2 comes with a new contact dialog on the contact list, adds a new option that lets users disable badges, improves the Secret Chat feature, addresses issues with the non-contact chat functionality.

Another interesting feature implemented in Cutegram 2.2 is the ability to focus on user messages just by clicking on their messages. Also, please note that the link preview functionality has been disabled on the Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) operating system because of some unresolved issues.

Several other minor improvements and bugfixes have been implemented in the new Cutegram 2 version, as well as new and updated translations. Download Cutegram 2.2.0 for Linux right now via Softpedia or directly from the application's website, where you will find binary files for various distributions.
