The servers of the popular CrunchBang Linux distribution have been under a DDoS attack for almost five days and there's no sign that it's going to stop anytime soon.

CrunchBang users might have noticed that the repositories and other services have been rather slow or not even working for the past few days.

“It saddens me to report that the repo and torrent server are experiencing another DDoS attack. As with the previous attack, I do not have much information to share, but I will try and keep everyone informed as to what is happening. When I find out, you'll find out. Apologies for the disruption,” stated a CrunchBang developer.

Users will most likely be unable to perform any updates on theirs system and there's no way of telling how long it's going to last.

The attack itself will not affect individual distribution and it will only hamper the update process. We'll keep you up to date with the news, if any.
