Crowntakers, a turn-based strategy game with RPG elements developed by Bulwark Studios and published by Bulwark Studios, has been released on Steam for Linux.

Crowntakers is a very different game than what players might expect and it's more complex than it seems. It features a world that's randomized at every playthrough, four procedural environments, 9 individual mercenaries, and lots of alternative endings.

"With its randomly generated world, Crowntakers offers a varied gaming experience every time you set out to fight evil. As a hero on a mission, you’ll have to assemble a group of brave mercenaries to take on cruel enemies like barbarians, ferocious animals or deceitful thieves. Embark on challenging quests, gather vital resources and finally banish evil from the world," reads the Steam synopsis.

The system requirements for Crowntakers are very low and most of the players should be able to run the game. Users will need to have at least Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2 GB of RAM, at least an Intel HD 4000, ATI Radeon HD 4650, or Nvidia GeForce 2xx video card, and 1 GB of available HDD space. There is no mention of the recommended settings, but they should not be very different.

More details about Crowntakers can be found on Steam.
