A new strange game has made its way onto the Linux platform

Roundabout, a weird arcade driving game developed and published on Steam by No Goblin, has also reached the Linux platform and is now available with 34% discount.

It's hard to say what exactly Roundabout is. Technically, you drive a limousine that's constantly spinning, while trying to collect bonus, finish missions, and get a high score. This is the short version, but the gameplay seems to be much weirder than that.

"In Roundabout, you need to pick up passengers and drive them to their destinations. The catch: your limousine is constantly spinning in circles! To move around in Roundabout, you need to time your limousine movement with the constant rotation in order to curve around obstacles, buildings, and more," reads the Steam entry.

Players will need to get a very good grip of the physics involved in the game and it's possible that you'll have some issues right for some time. Moving the car while it's spinning is not exactly easy and the gameplay has a rather steep learning curve. The game also comes with a very interesting feature, which is '70s B-Movie Full Motion Video. These videos are presented through the game and they help set the mood for the players.

The hardware requirements are a little bit high, if we take a closer look at the screenshots. In any case, users will need SteamOS or Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, an Intel Core i5-2500 or faster processor, 4GB of RAM, NVidia 400 series or higher for a video card, and 4 GB of HDD space. These are actually minimum specs.

The promotion for Roundabout is set to expire on January 2.
