ConfigServer Firewall, an SPI iptables firewall that is straightforward, easy and flexible to configure and secure, with extra checks to ensure smooth operation, is now at version 6.02.

Highlights of ConfigServer Firewall 6.02:

• The MESSENGER HTML header has been edited in order to return code 403 instead of 200; • The UI daemon has been updated and it's now able to fallback to IPv4, if the IPv6 settings have been enabled; • New options, LF_SYMLINK and LF_SYMLINK_PERM, have been added. They were implemented to patch a race condition vulnerability that was discovered in httpd 2.2.23 (Apache Hypertext Transfer Protocol Server).

The cPanel now displays this patch under the name "Symlink Race Condition Protection." Check out the official changelog for a complete list of new features and fixes. Download CSF 6.02 right now from Softpedia.
